Mission Scheduling of Multi-Sensor Collaborative Observation for Space Surveillance Network

نویسندگان

چکیده

With increased dependence on space assets, scheduling and tasking of the surveillance network (SSN) are vitally important. The multi-sensor collaborative observation (MCOS) problem is a multi-constraint high-conflict complex combinatorial optimization that non-deterministic polynomial (NP)-hard. This research establishes sub-time window constraint satisfaction (STWCSP) model with objective maximizing profit. Considering significant effect genetic algorithms (GA) solving resource allocation, an evolution heuristic (EH) algorithm containing three strategies focus MCOS proposed. For each case, task sequence first obtained via improved GA penalty (GAPE) algorithm, then mission planning (heuristic rule) used to determine specific time. Compared without windows some other algorithms, series experiments illustrate STWCSP has better performance in terms total Experiments about strategy parameter sensitivity validate its excellent EH algorithms.

Robust multi-sensor scheduling for multi-site surveillance

This paper presents mathematical programming techniques for solving a class of multi-sensor scheduling problems. Robust optimization problems are formulated for both deterministic and stochastic cases using linear 0–1 programming techniques. Equivalent formulations are developed in terms of cardinality constraints. We conducted numerical case studies and analyzed the performance of optimization...

Mission-relevant Collaborative Observation and Localization

We propose an approach for the integration of collaborative observation and localization within a separate multi-robot mission. The proposed approach will allow individual robots within a team to evaluate and choose a task based on the needs of the mission and the needs, capabilities, and task choices of teammates. Tasks will include mission-related tasks as well as task for self-localization, ...

A Context-aware Multi-layered Sensor Network for Border Surveillance

Surveillance of the U.S. borders is a crucial challenge to homeland security. Various initiatives to effectively address this problem with unattended ground sensor (UGS) technology have emerged recently. These initiatives have had limited success, because UGS have inadequate object and situation assessment capabilities due to their limited processing ability and lack of high-fidelity data. More...

Particle Swarm Optimization Based Space Debris Surveillance Network Scheduling

The increasing number of space debris has created an orbital debris environment that poses increasing impact risks to existing space systems and human space flight. For the safety of in-orbit spacecrafts, we should optimally schedule surveillance tasks of the existing facilities to allocate collection resources in a manner that most significantly improves the ability to predict and detect event...
